About the Iran Annual AI Award (iAAA)

The iAAA competition is a special opportunity for everyone interested in AI technology to apply what they have learned in a real arena, face real industry challenges, and be seen internationally. First Edition

About the First iAAA Edition

The first Iran Annual AI Award (iAAA) began in autumn 2021 and continued through winter 2023. This national event, held with the support of the National Elites Foundation and the collaboration of scientific and industrial centers, focused on the application of AI in medicine.

Main Competition Challenge

In this edition, participants faced the automatic detection of the need for endodontic surgery (root canal treatment) using OPG radiographic images. The challenge aimed to develop intelligent algorithms to help dentists make more accurate decisions.

Key Features of the First Edition

Participation of over 1,000 students, engineers, and specialists
450 million Tomans in cash prizes for top teams
Specialized training courses in AI, Computer Vision, and Python
Collaboration with medical centers to solve a real medical problem

Second Edition

About the Second iAAA Edition
The second Iran Annual AI Award (iAAA) began in autumn 2023 and continued through autumn 2024. This competition, held with the support of the National Elites Foundation and specialized centers, focused on the multiple applications of AI across various fields.

Main Competition Challenge
In this edition, participants faced designing intelligent systems to classify brain MRIs. The challenge aimed to develop accurate algorithms to distinguish between normal and abnormal MRI images.

Key Features of the Second Edition

Participation of over 1,500 people from universities and research centers
600 million Tomans in cash prizes for top teams
Specialized training courses in Deep Learning, medical image processing, and data science
Collaboration with medical imaging centers to solve real problems
Support for developing practical products in healthcare

This edition succeeded in:
